NEWSFLASH: We’re having a ‘Find out more’ Meeting at 8pm Wednesday 28th April in the Brass Monkey on Drummond Street.
41 years ago the University of Edinburgh Hot Air Balloon Club was established – the first of its kind in the world. 40 years ago it purchased its first balloon – one of the first of its kind. 2 years ago the club purchased a shiny new balloon branded with University of Edinburgh logos.
Last year the club folded.
A meeting will be held on Wedensday 28th April at 8pm in the Brass Monkey on Drummond Street and everybody is welcome to attend. You don’t have to know anything about hot air balloons as there are people about who can give guidance and advice. We are looking for a) people to form the new committee that are committed and will take the club into the future, and b) people who would be interested in joining the club to take an active part but not necessarily be on the committee.
